Spring Cleaning IV

Let’s keep going on this Spring is a good time to start, end or do things, thematic premise.

There are some cleaning things that you have to do in the spring (ok you don’t have to, but your neighbors will not be happy with you if you don’t). Cleaning up the dog poop in the back yard, getting your garden ready by cleaning garbage out of it, cleaning off your deck getting ready for the spring bar b q’s, etc.,. If you are in that kind of mood, maybe it’s time to clean out your basement as well. If you haven’t used something in the past five years (say like boxes you haven’t opened since you moved in to your house), maybe it’s time to get rid of that stuff. Now if the box holds your wedding pictures, or keepsakes from your grandmother, think about keeping this stuff (but maybe putting it somewhere OTHER than a box in your basement).

If you are like me, I have a kilotonne of OLD technology stuff (old VCRs, Computer Chassis, Zip drives, floppy disks by the gross), some of this stuff is USELESS and should go to someone who can recycle them in some fashion (look on line Dell and HP both have some kind of recycling programs, because the solder alone on those Circuit Boards, shouldn’t go to the landfill). Another option is trying to sell the old technology on E-Bay. You’d be amazed what people will buy these days, evidently the market for BETA-MAX (working) VCRs is quite brisk. You never know how much of your junk is treasure to some other person.

Of course take that found money and put it towards your debt load, will you, keep cleaning up that too!

  1. But Random Thoughts are what folks who think have!

I thought of Big Break IV (on the Golf Channel) the first time I typed in the title. What are a bunch of women trying out for the LPGA tour doing on my blog?

… and the Crazy Train of Thought derails into another siding…

  2. When I saw the title of this post, I thought you’d figured out how to insert a “spring IV” in to your arm. My first thought was, “Wow, wouldn’t that be a nice bit of freshness in my veins”.
Okay, I’ll be quiet now. Yes, I know. Random thoughts.
