A very quiet weekend with family and friends, but now it all begins again. Easter is now the start of things, financially, although I am not completely sure exactly what that will be, but I have promised myself there will be a new beginning financially, even if it is just my attitude about the finances.

Very strong employment numbers in the U.S. and Canada are confusing to me. You keep hearing about how jobs are going overseas and such, yet, you see strong new job creation as well? Maybe the economists that theorize that the U.S. will move to a solely service oriented economy were right? We’ll see on that one. Canada’s economy is still resource-centric, although we have a large service industry as well, but are so closely hitched to the American economy (which is in turn tied to the Chinese economy) that bad things abroad are not going to bod well for us either.

This could be a quiet week on the big picture for finances, but for us smaller folks, maybe it’s time to start thinking about a new plan, and figure out just where we stand? That’s a good start!
