BCE Sold but not for $427.50
So BCE has been sold to the Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan which is ok, I guess, now I have to find another blue chip that pays good dividends, but I have made a little money on the shares that I have bought over the years, so I am happy enough. The tentative share sale price is $42.75 which is higher than BCE was BEFORE they got rid of their Nortel holdings, so that is pretty cool. The deal was settled Friday morning early evidently.
Not sure what happened with the Quicken on line quote system, but they seem to think that BCE shares have sold for $427.50 a share, which makes me a very rich man, in their eyes, but unfortunately this is not the case. Too bad, early retirement was very possible if BCE sold for that price.
