Black Friday, Sales, Stampede(r)s and Friday #Shoutouts

Black Friday is finally here, the one day of the year where normally rational folk run around like the Archons on Star Trek, acting insane, shrieking festival but then at the strike of Midnight, returning to their normal selves (watch the episode The Return of the Archons for a full understanding of my comparison). You are not of the body!

Will there be huge savings for folks? I have no idea, I may purchase one thing, but we shall see what interesting items are on sale before I commit my huge cash reserves on any purchase (I might need to buy a cup of coffee instead). The concept of Bargains and standing in line to get them never really caught on with me.

Grey Cup weekend ahead with the Stampeders playing the Argonauts in Toronto. I am old enough to remember the Leon McQuay fumble Grey Cup, so it should be interesting to see how this game goes. I haven’t really been watching the CFL that closely but in a year or so I may (when the Ottawa {Insert Your Name Here that is not Rough Riders} start playing in the league again.

  1. So did you survive the holiday shopping frenzy? I stayed clear of the fray this year, shopping from the safety of my laptop. Thanks for mentioning the post on stolen debit cards!

  2. BCM, thanks for link and grouping me with your esteemed group of bloggers yesterday. I am going to wear you down and get you to add one item to your bucket list other than the fact you are still breathing, it may be a long process, but I will keep at it.
