This week I (and my regular commenters) have been having a lot of fun with Mrs C8j’s new enhanced rack, and I’d like to clarify that while this rack is amazing, I do not love Mrs. C8j only for her astonishing rack. For those who have not joined into this off colour discussion feel free to add your voice on whether getting your wife a new rack is a good holiday idea. There was another off colour anecdote in another of my posts this week, so I guess that was where my mind was this week.
So Torontonians are playing catch up with Montrealers, as they had to throw their Mayor out of power, whereas in Montreal their Mayor stepped down. Toronto is always playing catchup with Montreal it seems, but congrats to the Argos for winning the Grey Cup. The other good news is that the Leafs are still undefeated in this NHL season.
On Tuesday I reached another milestone with post number 2200, it is actually I think post 2250, but I deleted about 50 posts over the past year, after reading them over and feeling that they were absolute drivel (and that is really saying something if I think it is drivel). I have been at this for almost 8 years now, which means I am pumping out one hell of a lot of posts, my credo seems to be QUANTITY over QUALITY!
This Sunday Advent begins for most Christians out there (I am sure there are some sects who don’t observe Advent, but I am not aware of them). As Mrs. C8j (who many claim is a Nun) likes to point out the themes of Advent are: Waiting, Preparing and Anticipating (the birth of Christ). Keep this in mind as you are fighting with that other parent to get the last Furbee, or you lament how the Christmas season is a crock of bovine feces.
Weekly Recap
The Cyber Monday week gave me lots to write about, but I did seem to go into a rather lurid set of subjects at times too:
- Grey Cup, Cyber Monday, and #OldieButGoodie Tweets for a Sunday has my views on the Grey Cup, which the Argos won (I guess the spirit of Leon McQuay is finally exorcised from that franchise).
- Inflation Remains Steady for October 2012 in Canada for now, given Mark Carney is going across the pond, will we continue to have low interest rates, or will a new set of eyes, come up with a new way of seeing our economic situation?
- Do You Store Your Tires had me boasting about Mrs. C8j’s rack that we set up this past weekend. Yes, men are pigs when double entendres are involved.
- Things to Look For When Browsing for a New House has some useful tips for my readers and it allowed me to tell one of my favorite anecdotes about what pictures are on the walls of the houses you are looking at.
- BCM’s Favorite Things for Christmas is me whore’ing to make some money at Amazon telling you about what you should buy for Christmas, or is it?
And thanks to those who added me on Twitter I am now over 1300 folks who follow me, Zut Alors! If you join my “Twitter Posse“, you might notice I am also re-Tweeting some posts from the French Media as well (hell, if I am learning the language, shouldn’t we all?). Check out my Facebook page and find us on Google+as well (but no I didn’t buy Facebook stock). The page includes many different posts, not just my own (kind of like this Friday post, but all week-long), and I have changed it a little bit too (note the new background).
