So Stats Canada puts out a lot of data (I like reading most of it, is of little importance, but others are interesting if you read between the lines).
One of the more interesting stats is monthly uses of Natural Gas, and last month the year over year numbers showed a drop in residential usage (by 1.4%) and Commercial usage is down as well, however direct and industrial usage is up a whopping 15%, which is very worrisome. Who is using all this Natural Gas?
Could be electric power plants for one, but my suspicion is the Tar Sands folks as well (I assume my readers in the know will correct me if I am wrong), but there has been a lot of chatter about the extraction of oil from the tar sands using a very large amount of Natural Gas as well (I don’t know, this is just conjecture on my part for now). Think I’ll go see if this is true.
I am also slowed down by a nasty chest cold, but hopefully we’ll start my analysis of why my wife is worth-less (in the eyes of the government). I know I am going to pay for that sentence, but sometimes controversy is fun (ok when my wife punches me in the arm, it won’t be as much fun).
