For fear of being called a “fear monger”, I give you another example of the business of identity theft.
Police say the duo allegedly used online employment ads to lure victims to send resumes, then sent a letter to the job seeker promising a high-paying position.
OK folks, let’s repeat again, we NEVER give out our SIN number or personal information online to unknown folks. The victims here were folks trying to get a job. They got fleeced, so be careful with that personal information. This scam worked on over 100 folks that they know of. There might be countless more that may be unaware (as of yet).
Be careful and don’t get duped by these hucksters.
