Racking it Up, 2200 Posts, Advent Begins and Friday #Shoutouts

This week I (and my regular commenters) have been having a lot of fun with Mrs C8j’s new enhanced rack, and I’d like to clarify that while this rack is fantastic, I do not love Mrs. C8j only for her astonishing rack. For those who have not joined into this off-colour discussion, feel free to add your voice on whether getting your wife a new rack is a good holiday idea. There was another off-colour anecdote in another of my posts this week, so I guess that was where my mind was this week.

So Torontonians are playing catch up with Montrealers, as they had to throw their Mayor out of power, whereas in Montreal their Mayor stepped down. Toronto is always playing catchup with Montreal, but congrats to the Argos for winning the Grey Cup. The other good news is that the Leafs are still undefeated in this NHL season.

On Tuesday I reached another milestone with post number 2200, it is actually I think post 2250, but I deleted about 50 posts over the past year, after reading them over and feeling that they were absolute nonsense (and that is saying something if I think it is nonsense). I have been at this for almost 8 years now, which means I am pumping out one hell of a lot of posts, my doctrine seems to be QUANTITY over QUALITY!

This Sunday Advent begins for most Christians out there (I am sure some sects don’t observe Advent, but I am not aware of them). As Mrs. C8j (who many claim is a Nun) likes to point out the themes of Advent are: Waiting, Preparing and Anticipating (the birth of Christ). Keep this in mind as you are fighting with that other parent to get the last Furbee or you lament how the Christmas season is a crock of bovine feces.

Weekly Recap

The Cyber Monday week gave me lots to write about, but I did seem to go into a rather lurid set of subjects at times too:

As Advent is coming, what have some of our favorite writers cooked up this week?

Feel Free to Comment

  1. If I was not so distracted reading about your wife’s new rack, I would congratulate you on 2200 posts and think you are goading me into a comment on Toronto.

Now that I have seen the picture of your wife’s new “tire rack”, I can concentrate on the matter at hand. Wow, I am about 10% your 2200 posts. You sure have a lot of useless stuff to talk about 🙂

As for our mayor, the rumour is he will be the Argo’s new left offensive guard next year, ensuring a repeat Grey Cup Performance. The offensive line coach however was apprehensive since he is concerned his lack of discipline will lead to many penalties and thought him grossly out of shape.

” The other good news is that the Leafs are still undefeated in this NHL season.” Burke is quite happy about that, he is privately hoping for the season to be wiped out so he can get another high draft pick and expunge another bad year from his record.

    1. I think your comment about my “useless stuff to talk about” is more of a damning statement about my regular readers, than it is my Verbal Diarhea.

The Senators are claiming they are undefeated against both the Canadiens and the Leafs this year. At least I have more time to write!
