Banks and Humor

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

The National Film Board of Canada has opened up their vaults to the web and I couldn’t be happier. I grew up in Montreal very near by the NFB offices and it feels like I grew up watching NFB films, so I have been wasting many an hour watching some wonderful shorts and full length movies.

My Financial Career

I found this topical animated short based on the writings of Stephen Leacock (a great Canadian humorist).

This story is great for so many reasons, not the least of which is Leacock’s wit, but also how banks used to work as well. More interestingly is the dread portrayed about dealing with a bank, seems that hasn’t changed much.
