Still the worst financial advice I ever gave is still easily sending a friend to a time share demo (and having him buy one), but I have other examples.
The drought in Ottawa during summer 2012 brought dry lawns, empty rain barrels, and visible overuse of water by unaware neighbours. With no rain for weeks, many questioned why the city hadn’t implemented smart water meters like Ontario Hydro’s electricity model. This piece highlights the need for water regulation and rate reform during droughts in Ottawa.
