- A great day to try to get all of the end of year stuff done! You have 2 banking days for the transaction to clear.
- Take your losses or profits for taxes? Do that today if you want it on your 2023 return.
- Did you get some cash for Christmas? Maybe spread the joy and give to a charity. That way it counts towards your 2023 return.
- Do you pay your taxes quarterly? Today would be a good day to pay it if you haven’t already.

- The last settlement date to record a disposition as a gain or loss in the 2023 taxation year is cutting it close. Do whatever you need to do BEFORE noon Eastern time.
- Deadline to submit registered plans contribution and withdrawal requests for the 2023 tax year:
- Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) withdrawals
- Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) withdrawals and Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) withdrawal or contributions requests
- RESP and Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) contributions, for 2023
