Sunday Thought: Lent is almost here
Lent is almost here: Find out how you can add something into your life and make a difference to everyone around you. Try tithe, for example!

I was moved recently while listening to God Has a Dream: A Vision of Hope for Our Time by the late Bishop Desmond Tutu. It was one of those rare drives to work where something truly meaningful cuts through the noise. The Bishop’s voice, filled with wisdom, kindness, and resilience, delivers deeply personal reflections on forgiveness, faith, and optimism, even in the darkest days of apartheid.
His words struck a chord. If someone who has endured so much could still believe in the goodness of people—and forgive—why do I cling to petty grievances? Listening to him say “Dear Child of God” at the start of each chapter felt grounding and spiritual, whether you’re devout or a skeptic.
I highly recommend God Has a Dream as a Lenten companion or just as a powerful reminder of human potential. And, in true frugal fashion, I borrowed it from the library. It’s a valuable listen that costs nothing, but offers plenty.

Some of the things you can do in Lent is to read. Read some of the thousands of money books on the market (or in the Library).
