So great to see that the Federal Budget passed unopposed yesterday! Hot darn! Yes the budget might have passed no problem, but no one said ANYTHING, hot darn! Now I get all those wonderful breaks from my buddies the Conservatives. All I need to do is find my receipts from my kids basketball enrollments, and then sign them up for more stuff, and the money will continue to roll into my pockets. Whoo Hoo!

Great post – I like how if there is no one to stand against a motion, it carries automatically. Sadly, too many people do pass their “budgets” like this. When it comes to purchasing something they say “without opposition, so ordered”. At least your government passes a budget with an anticipated surplus and a tax cut at the same time.
How is the Conservative minority faring? We dont get much coverage of Canadian politics south of the border, but I expect a new election in the next 12 months, so I am curious, will they pick up seats?
