Random Thoughts: Labour Week Over

Back to school is now in full swing, with most students starting this week, stores filled with frantic parents looking for new school supplies, and kids complaining about too much homework. It is a wonderful time of the year.

For me, as an epilogue to my student computer safety tip, one of my daughters broke the day before leaving for school, and I ended up having to buy her a new one (because it wouldn’t boot because the boot track had been destroyed). Yet another fun, unplanned expense to add to the list of them for returning to school. I think we got everyone off in one piece, but holy crap that is expensive.

More roller coaster rides on the markets, along with exciting weather. This could be an exciting fall, that is for sure.

This being a shorter week I enjoyed the time off from work but did try to keep my writing up as well:

Other financial folk are looking at the mess the global economy seems to be in, and have some more commentary on this mess:

  1. Thanks for including our article BCM. We’re not that close to the border so we don’t do as much shopping down south as we likely should. But hey, the govt has a “commission” looking into the disparity in prices now. *yawn&
