But I’ve Always Done it That Way
So our friends at Ted, have a short video clip for us that will completely rock your world (well maybe not), but it did for me.
There are many things in life that I feel that I am at least competent at, if not some kind of expert, and shoe tieing is certainly a subject where I thought there was nothing new to be learned, but this short presentation proves that I have been doing it wrong (or at least less securely) for most of my life.
Terry Moore found out he’d been tying his shoes the wrong way his whole life. In the spirit of TED, he takes the stage to share a better way. (Historical note: This was the very first 3-minute audience talk given from the TED stage, in 2005.)
Ted
Watch and learn, and then wonder how many other things that you might do every day that are not being done optimally? See you can learn new things every day (so don’t get stuck in your ways, and think about this with your Personal Finances as well!).
And if you’ve always done it wrong, do you think you’ll get better results by doing it wrong once again?
Sorry, but the question needed to be asked.
Great perspective! We can learn to ‘think outside the box’ in all aspects of life and it’s true we can always learn something new about everything, including personal finances.
