I love the Ted.com web site and the videos there. Luckily my employer blocks this site or I would spend all day watching these interesting videos.
It may seem that big problems require big solutions, but ad man Rory Sutherland says many flashy, expensive fixes are just obscuring better, simpler answers. To illustrate, he uses behavioral economics and hilarious examples.
The big things are done well? I disagree, but I do agree the little things are mostly done incredibly badly in life. I do agree that no one likes the $50 fix in big corporations.
Rory’s use of the expression “… bugger all…” I appreciate a great deal.
I am all for a Minister of Details department in the Government.
