We Shall Remember

Today is Remembrance Day in Canada, and down south, it is Veteran’s Day, a day to remember those who have fallen and made the ultimate sacrifice for us. We also should remember those who served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces.

I grew up in a generation where we didn’t even talk about Remembrance Day much, let alone celebrate the achievements and sacrifices done by others. Still, I am glad to see that the traditions of remembering those who fought for our future have returned. I don’t want to sound like I want to glorify war, but I wish to celebrate those who fight in those wars.

Random Thoughts will return next week, but I have today off ( a perk of working in the Government), so I figured I’d enjoy the day of rest and reflection myself too.
